No Card Today

Hi there.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and you are all gearing up for the new year.  I don't have a card to share today, but I did have a request to share the company that made the stamp that I used on this card.  The stamp is from Parked on Rubber.  I got it at a local LSS on clearance and that was my first time using it.  It is a beautiful stamp and I just love how quickly and easily I was able to color it.

Well, that's all I've got today.  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week and a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

Hello again.  Today I wanted to share a Christmas card I made for Suzanne Dean, the "boss lady" over at the Color Me Creative Classroom.   Suzanne's blog is one of the first that I joined when I started blogging.  She is an inspiration, plus she's got some pretty crazy stories to share.  I have had the privilege of being a part of the CMC Copic Challenge design team for nine months and I feel like I've learned so much.  Suzanne is a wonderful person to work with and so much fun to be around.  So Suzanne, here is my card for you.  I just LOVE this stamp and thought it make a lovely Christmas card.  I have truly enjoyed being able to work and learn as part of your design team.  I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!

BTW, Suzanne also offers online CMC Classes, which are wonderful because you get feedback from Suzanne as you go through the class. Here is a little teaser of Class 5 for you.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

OUR CHARITY:
Reading is Fundamental is the charity Suzanne has chosen to sponsor this season.  As you all know Suzanne is an avid reader and it is amongst her very favorite things to do in her spare time.  She truly believes that literacy and reading opens up many doors in life for everyone.  Not only can you find joy in books but it opens your eyes to other cultures, places and people that is so worthwhile.  And just the fact that a huge part of life involves being able to read--to get through school, get a great job and navigate through life.  For Suzanne teaching children to read early on in life is a MUST yet so many children are not provided with the basic materials to learn to read.  So this charity is a non-profit that provides books to children and opportunities to bring literacy into areas that need it!

Here a picture for inspiration.

And here is my card.

This sweet stamp is from Wags 'n Whiskers.  I thought she would be perfect in creams and golds.  The pretty DP and the gold cardstock are from my stash.  I colored her with Copics (YR23, Y15, Y11, Y000/E25, E31, E50/E11, E00, E0000, R20/C1, W5, W2, W00).  I added some ribbon, rhinestones, and Stickles and she was done.  Overall a very quick and easy card.  Plus, I just love how pretty it turned out.

Remember, you can join us for this challenge over at the CMC Copic Challenge Group.  Just use your Copic markers to color an image in Golds, Creams, or Whites and you'll be entered to win.  Plus each entry gets entered into the monthly drawing for a $50 gift certificate from Oozak.com.  Lots of chances to win plus you can donate to a wonderful charity for additional chances of winning.

Tilda Altered Journal

So I wanted to share another quick project with you.  Earlier this year I picked up some journals that were on clearance at my LCC.  The covers weren't pretty, but I knew I could fix that.  Here's what I came up with.

I've had this stamp for a bit and hadn't inked her up yet.  I colored her using Copics (R85, R83, R81, R00/E11, E00, E0000, R20/E25, E31, E50/Y15, Y00/E43/W5, W2, W0/BG10), and added a bit of Stickles to her wand.  I used some paper I had from Cloud 9 Design, added some Prima flowers & pearly accents from my stash, and found that cute little bow that I forgot I had.  I added two pieces of ribbon and put two cute little charms on them for bookmarks, and a couple of pieces of ribbon to tie it up real pretty.

Challenges:

Angel

Well, hello again.  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We had a chilly one here, so I got a good bit of crafting done.  Today I'm sharing a card that I made using a stamp I forgot I had.  I stumbled across it this weekend and now I have made 3 cards with it.  This is Motivet's Angel Girl.

Isn't she sweet?  I stamped her onto Cryogen white cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.  My DP is Heidi Grace Designs and some DCVW white-core cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug and sanded quickly.  She is colored with Copics and Stickled until I couldn't Stickle any more.  I added the ribbon, brad, and charm, of course, three shiny stars down the front.

Don't forget the current challenge we have over at the CMC Copic Challenge Group.  We want you to use your Copics to color Non-traditional hair colors.  Join the fun and you've got a chance at two prizes that are up for grabs.  Check out the details here.

Challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Sketch
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Scrap-Creations - Christmas

It's a tag today!

I just wanted to share something with you real quick.  Here's a tag I made using a Magnolia mini to match this card I made a few weeks ago.  I hadn't inked it up yet, but I'll tell you it is just a easy to color as the bigger stamp.  Plus, it makes a nice little gift set.  Love, love, love it!!!

As always she's stamped onto Cryogen White Cardstock and colored with Copics.  I added some ribbon from my stash and of course, ran the Vintage Tag Doohickey through my Cuttlebug.

Bring in the Funk-y Hair!

It's challenge time again at the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge group.  This time we want you to use your Copics to color Multi-Colored hair/Non-Traditional hair colors.  I'll tell you that I wasn't completely comfortable with this at first, but it grew on me.  I love how this image turned out and I do believe I'll give this another try again.  Our wonderful sponsor, Simply Betty Stamps, let me have this cute digi.

I printed this digi onto Cryogen White Cardstock and colored her with my Copics (BV17, BV13, BV11/E11, E00, E000, R20/BG13, BG11, BG0000/Y23, Y02/E33, E31, E50/YR12, YR14, YR20, R24/YG67, YG63, YG03).  I added the fall leaves that I punched out with some Marvy punches then added a bit of Stickles to them.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I hope you will join us over at the CMC Copic Challenge.  You could win a prize from Simply Betty Stamps plus 1 pack of Cryogen Cardstock.  Each entry is also entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 gift certificate from Oozak.com You have until Dec. 9th to play along, so be sure to head over here to join in the fun.

Another Tilda Calendar Page

Well, I have another calendar page to share with you.  I did something different with this one.  I decided that I spend too much time fussing over what to add to my cards, etc., so this time I kept moving.  I didn't take the time to nitpick over what I put on the card.  I just kept adding stuff and overall I'm pretty happy with it.

I came across some Magnolia flowers and glass garlands that I won from some blog candy last year, so I decided to use them on this project...finally.  That's another problem I have; I want to save my "good stuff" for a better project.  Well, no more!  It's time to clear out some of this stuff I've had for a while and make room for more new stuff.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Just Magnolia - Anything Goes
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
By the Cute and Girly  - Anything Goes
ABC Christmas Challenge - U is for Unused Stash (flower, glass garland)

Also, just a reminder that Suzanne Dean will be in San Jose, CA next weekend (Oct. 22nd & 23rd) to teach her CMC on the Road Class and there is still time to get registered.  I attended her class in SC a few months ago and just loved it!  I would highly recommend going if you get the chance.  You can find all of the details here.

Supplies:
Stamps: Magnolia Tilda
Papers:  Cryogen White Cardstock, K & Co.
Ink:  Copics
Misc:  Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, Magnolia flower & glass garland, ribbon, brad, Making Memories flower, pearls, Stickles

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your week!

Pink Christmas

Four days in a row!  That must be a record for me.  I've got another calendar page to share with you.  I'll tell you that I've never done pink for Christmas; I stick with the traditional red and green, although last year I branched out and did a lot of blue.  I found some cute pink Christmas paper and figured I'd give it a go.

Now I may have gone a bit overboard on the pink, but I think it definitely looks cute.  I stamped her on Cryogen White Cardstock.  The DP I used is from We R Memory Keepers and K & Co.  I colored her with Copics (R85, R83, R81, R00/E25, E31, E50/E11, E00, E000/BG10, W2, W00).  I punched some snowflakes using my Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder die and added some glitter to them.  I added a brad to the middle of the snowflake, ran some ribbon across the front, and added my calendar.

Challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp  - Sparkle & Bling
Sweet Stamps - Anything Goes
Just Magnolia  - Sketch
Fab 'n' Funky  - Die Cut or Punches
All That Scraps  - Anything Goes

Also, don't forget about the current challenge running over at the CMC Copic Challenge Group.  There are two chances to win and you have until October 14th to enter.  Be sure to check it out here and join in the fun.

Have a great day!

2 Birthday Cards

Today I've got a couple of birthday cards to share with you.  On my first card I used a new digi I got from Nana Vic's.  I printed her out onto Cryogen White Cardstock and  used Karen Foster Designs paper.  I stitched the bottom panel, added the chipboard stars and rhinestones, and put a bit of glitter on the water.  I used the sketch from the Sketch n Stash Challenge with my new stash being the digi.

On my second card I used a digi from Meljen's Designs.  I printed it onto Cryogen White Cardstock and my DP is Basicgrey.  I stitched the front panels, added ribbon, and 3 cute tool brads as well.

I also wanted to share with you the witty sentiment my hubby and I came up with.  We thought it was cute.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Fab 'n' Funky - Recipe (1 ribbon, 2 DP, 3 buttons/brads/gems)
Sweet Sketch - Sketch
Sentimental Sundays - Sewing or Stitching (plus a sentiment)
