Butterfly Tilda

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying your week.  Mine is good so far, with a long holiday weekend at the end of it.  Today I'm sharing a card I made with one of my new Magnolia stamps (I think I warned you all you'd be seeing some of these stamps).  I'm really happy with how this card turned out.

I made an easel card since I haven't done one of them in a while.  I also used some of my Wild Orchid flowers, and the big blue flower is from Magnolia (all of which I haven't used in a while).  I got the butterfly a while ago at Michaels and thought it would look cute as well.

I'm really happy with how my coloring turned out.  I'm finishing up my first online class over at the Color Me Creative Classroom and I took Suzanne Dean's CMC On the Road class when she was in South Carolina recently.  I think both of those classes have helped me in terms of coloring and light source.  You can check Suzanne's schedule for upcoming On the Road classes here.  I really enjoyed the class and loved that Suzanne walks around the room and answers questions and offers help during the class.  Also, be sure to check out the summer special that Suzanne has for her online classes.  Better hurry though, because the special prices end July 15th.

And don't forget to check out the challenge over at the CMC Copic Challenge Group.  This time we want to see you color folds, pleats, or ruffles with those Copics.  Tiddly Inks is the sponsor and there is a great prize up for grabs.  Anyone can play but you can't win if you don't play, so head on over there and join in!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Just Magnolia - Butterflies
By the Cute and Girly - In the Garden
All That Scraps - In the Good 'ole Summer Time

Have a great day!!!

Up, Up, and Away...

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I'm back again.  I thought I'd share a birthday card I just made.  Once again I wasn't sure when I started how it was going to turn out, but I think it's pretty cute.

I used my Martha Stewart punch for the balloons, added some twine to them, and then popped a few of them up off the card.  Pretty cool, huh?  I used some star brads for the corner and ran the blue piece (white core paper) through my Cuttlebug then sanded it a bit.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Totally Papercrafts - Spots & Stripes
Birthday Sundaes - Stars & Stripes Birthday
Stamptacular Sunday  - Stars & Stripes
Sunday Sketch & Stamp - Sketch
Cards for Men - Stars

Supples:
Stamp: Penny Black
Paper:  Piggytales, DCWV White Core Cardstock
Ink:  Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black
Misc:  MS Punch, twine, brads

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope to have one more thing to share with you before the weekend, so be sure to check back.

Straw Hat Tilda

Hello there!  I hope you all are off to a great start for your week!  Now I'll just warn you now that you will be seeing quite a few cards with little Tilda on them over the next few weeks.  I got a few new stamps and just love coloring up those images.  Here's the first one.

Now this is the first image I colored after taking Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative online class, and I have to say that I'm very happy with my results.  I think I've got a better grasp on the whole light sourcing thing (although I think I messed up the shadow a bit).

Anyway, have a wonderful week and I hope to see you back soon.  Don't forget about the "Fluff Your Feathers" challenge going on now over at the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge Group.  Great prizes up for grabs!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hey everyone!  I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.  We have a bright and sunny day here.  It's been a while since I shared a card with you so here we go.  I think I've mentioned a time or two how much I love the Stella and Gus stamps over at Bugaboo Stamps.  They just crack me up.  Well, here's a card I made using a Stella stamp.

I used a bit of the Diamond Glaze on her glasses to give them a little shine and of course added a bit of Stickles to the ice cream on top of her cake.

New additions to the CMC Design Team

Hi everyone!  I hope you all are enjoying your week.  I'm looking forward to this weekend (I look forward to every weekend), but I'm especially looking forward to NEXT weekend.  Next weekend Suzanne Dean will be in South Carolina teach one of her CMC on the Road classes.  I'm very excited about the class and about meeting Suzanne.  She does beautiful work and I can't wait to learn from her.  I started taking one of her online classes a few weeks ago and I'm thrilled with what I've learned so far.  I've always struggled with light source and her class has taught me a better way to approach it.  I hope to have a card or two posted this weekend for you to see.

Anywho, off to my exciting news.  We've had some additions to the Color Me Creative Design Team.  I'm happy to tell you that Suzanne has added these wonderful ladies to the CMC Design Team.

And don't forget about my current fellow DT members.

Please be sure to stop by and visit the entire design team and then head over to the Color Me Creative Classroom and join in on the fun!   Our current challenge in the CMC Copic Challenge Group is "Fluff Your Feathers".  Use your Copic markers to color an image that has feathers or add feather-like coloring.  Anyone can play along and the prize is a $25 gift certificate to The Paper Temptress.  PLUS, each entry for the month gets entered into a drawing at the end of the month for...wait for it...a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com!  Now who couldn't put that to good use?  I know I could.  We hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous Friday!
