Red James Bear

Well, I warned you that you'd be seeing him again, but you probably didn't think it would be this soon.  I just love this Lili of the Valley stamp and I just love this sketch from Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

I am trying some different browns on these stamps and love the different looks that I'm getting.  For my card I used the James Bear stamp from Lili of the Valley as well as a sentiment stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  The papers are from The Paper Studio and Paper Pizazz as well as the Cryogen White on which he is stamped.  I machine stitched the first layer (Even did the zig zag stitch, which I haven't done in a while.).  I colored him with Copics (E37, E33, E31, G28, G24, G21, G20, B000), used my MS holly border punch, and added some glitter to his hat, the falling snow and the snow on the ground.  Very quick and easy card.

Challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge - Q is for Quote
Simon Says Stamp - Sketch
Crafts 4 Eternity - Christmas Project
Stampin' for the Weekend - Holidays
Totally Gorjuss - As you like it
Christmas Card Challenges - Glitter

Have a great weekend!

James Bear - In the Snow

Well hello again!  Two days in a row.  I don't know it that's happened before.  If you didn't see the card I posted yesterday please check out the card my son made.

Ok, I'm going to go ahead and warn you that you will be seeing a lot of this stamp in the months to come. It is one of my favorites to color and I think it's just the cutest image.  Meet James...

I'm sure some of you have already met this cute guy from Lili of the Valley, but I just wanted to share him with you because I just love this little fella.  I've got another Christmas stamp of him too, so you'll be seeing that soon as well.

For my card I sewed the front panels, ran some ribbon across the front, added a brad and charm, and topped his hat off with some Flower Soft.

Hap-bee Birthday!

Today I would like to share with you a card that my 10 year old son made for his older brother's birthday.  I printed out the image and helped him with measuring the paper, but other than that it was all him.
He liked the bumblebee image from Bugaboo Stamps and decided to make a card that looks like a bee.  Pretty good idea, huh?

He would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Catch the Bug - Birds and the Bees
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!

In the Garden

Hey, hey, hey!  It's time for another challenge over at the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge blog.  This challenge is all about winged things.  Here is your inspiration.

Our wonderful sponsor is Make it Crafty and Zoe was sweet enough to let me use these two images.

I made this wonderful scene with the Hidden Forest Seat digi and Sapphire Sitting Fairy. I combined these images, something I've never done before, and just love the outcome.  I added a bit of Stickles to her wings and the flowers in the background.  I also cut out her feet so they hang below the panel that she is on.  I stitched the front panels, added a piece of lace, wove some ribbon through it, and topped off the card with a purple bow. I also dusted the sky with a bit of blue chalk.

Be sure to head over to the CMC Copic Color Challenge to play along. You have until 8 pm EST on September 2nd to enter, and remember your winged image must be colored using your Copic markers.  The prize for this challenge is...

*A pack of Copic Blending Paper
*$15 to spend on digi images at Make It Crafty
(both gifts from Zoe of Make It Crafty)

Plus, each challenge entry gets entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com.  Two chances to win!  What more could you ask for?

'Tis the season

Hi there!  Just wanted to share a card with you real quick.  I've had this Belles 'n Whistles stamp for a while and finally inked it up and boy do I love it.  I've also discovered this red/brown color combo that I just LOVE!  You will definitely be seeing more of it.

I machine stitched the front and the inside.  My sewing machine even played nice enough to let me stitch the circle.  I added some glitter to her hat, the snowball, and some snow on the ground.  Then I pulled out some of my Wild Orchid Crafts poinsettias and added some glitter to them as well.

Birthday Bytes...

Well, hello, hello.  I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted.  I guess time just totally got away from me.  I'm back with a card that I made for my son's 15th birthday.  I saw this image at Mo's Digital Pencil and knew I wanted to use it for his birthday.

If I were to take a picture of my son on his computer it would look exactly like this.  That's what I love about Mo's images, they are realistic yet a bit quirky.

Also, don't forget that there is still time to enter the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge.  The theme is friendship and we want you to use your Copic markers to color your embellishments.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant - Stitching
A Spoonful of Sugar - Happy Birthday
Cards for Men - Anything Goes
Crafts and Me  - Blues or Blue/Greens
Paper Playtime  - Anything Goes

Supplies:
Stamp: Mo's Digital Pencil; sentiment was computer generated

Friend

Well, hello strangers!  I guess I haven't been around for a while.  We took a little vacation and it's always had to come back from that, but I'm here.  Today I'm sharing my DT card for the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge.  The theme this time is friendship, but we also want to see you color your embellishments using your Copic markers.  Our sponsor this time around is Gilli Stamps, and Anary was sweet enough to let us each use a Gilli image for this challenge.

For my card I used Florist Gilli.  Isn't she sweet!  I used my Copic markers to color the tulle for my flower and I also used them to color the rhinestones.  I've never colored the tulle with my markers before and it worked out quite well.  It's nice to know that I can make a flower to match any color that I might use on my card.

Remember, no play, no prize.  The winner gets 1 stamp of their choice from Gilli Stamps and 4 Copic markers (or refills) of their choice from CMC.  PLUS, each entry is entered into a monthly drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com, so you've got 2 chances to win.  Anyone can play, just head on over to the CMC Copic Challenge group and join in the fun.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky Challenges - Friendship
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Delightful Sketches - Stitching

Supplies:

Stamp: Gilli Stamps
Paper: Cryogen White, K & Company
