Dog Days of Summer

Well, hello again.   Did you all check out the CMC Blog Hop yet?  If not, check out my post here.  There are some great prizes if you hop along and you can see the wonderful cards my DT sistahs made.  Today I'm sharing a card that I made recently.  I was asked to make a card with a boxer on it and then the lady who asked for it was nice enough to send me a stamp, papers, and ribbon to use.  Check it out...

I think it turned out pretty darn cute.  I can't make out where the stamp is from, but I think he's just cute.  The DP is from Queen & Co. and Karen Foster Designs.  I colored him with my Copics (E35, E33, E31/C5, C3, C1/W5, W2, W00/BG10).  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections.  I used one of my MS punches along one panel and my oval Spellbinder dies.  The puppy paw ribbon was sent as a gift with the stamp and papers and the rhinestones, twine, and charm are from my stash.

Challenges:

Wild Orchid - Anything Goes
Totally PaperCrafts - Animals
Creative Inspirations  - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the CMC Blog Hop.

Here is the card I made for today's hop.  Krista at Saturated Canary was nice enough to let us each pick an image for this challenge.  I just love this Peggy Sue image.  Of course, she is colored with my Copics (G16, G02, G00, G0000/RV17, RV13, RV10, RV00/E11, E00, E000, R20/E25, E31, E50/R83, R81, YG25/W5, W2, W00/B000, BG10).  The papers are from MME and I finally got around to using my banner dies that I got a while back.  I used one of my MS punches as well as some ribbon, a button, and some twine from my stash.  The pretty, pretty flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections.  The bling is from my LCS and I added a bit of Stickles to her dress.

Now hop on over to Anary's blog to see what she’s created today!

Hi there.  It's finally Friday!  Are you all as ready for the weekend as I am?  I've got a quick post today to share a card I made with this cute image from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I used one of my new packs of MME papers.  Aren't they cute?  This digi was printed onto Cryogen White cardstock and  colored with Copics (BG49, BG45, BG11/YR68, YR65, YR61/E11, E00, E000, R20/E35, Y21, Y11/E18, E15, E11/V17, V12/C9, C5, C3, C1/E43, E41, E40/BG10).  I love this ribbon I got on Etsy.  The lace and button are from my stash.  The twine and rhinestones are from my LCS.  I made the pin myself.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello again and Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mom's out there!  I hope you enjoyed your day.  We've got another challenge for you over at the CMC Copic Challenge group, and it's an easy one...Anything Goes!  That's right, anything your little heart desires as long as you use your Copics, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers or colored pencils.  Here is my card.

This is my Mother's Day card to my mom.  Hi Mom!  The digi is from Bugaboo Stamps and the paper is from Graphic 45.  I stitched a couple of the panels and colored the image with my Copics (C9, C7, C5, C3, C1/R59, R39, R22/G99, G94, G40/BG78, BG72/W5, W2, W00).  I've had the ribbon forever, but I used my Bow-Easy to make that cute little bow.  The brad in the center of it is from my stash.  To the right of my image (although they are hard to see) are 3 rhinestones from my stash that I have colored with my BG75 Copic marker.  I have totally stopped buying colored rhinestones.  I buy the clear ones and then use whatever Copic color I want to color them to match my card.  I just LOVE that!

Our sponsor is Some Odd Girl and the winner will receive 3 digis from Some Odd Girl.  Plus, don't forget that each entry goes into a monthly drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com.  Two chances to win.  How great is that?  You have until May 25th and anyone can play along.  Head over here for more details.

Challenges:

The Pink Elephant - All About Mom
Catch the Bug - Sketch
Daisy Doodles - May Flowers
One Crazy Stamper - Mothers

Happy Birthday Suzanne!

The Color Me Creative Design Team has a secret!!!  Today we are hopping along to wish our fearless leader, Suzanne Dean, a VERY happy birthday!!!  Suzanne is the owner/creator of the Color Me Creative site and, as many of you know, teaches her Copic classes online and on the road!  She is one busy momma and we thought we'd take time to wish her a happy day and hope she gets to sit with her Cherry Coke and donuts (ya, a fav combination of hers!) and relax a bit today and enjoy the hop!

Each of us decided it would be fun to remember Suzanne today in "typical Suzanne" style!  Our creations will either help remember a "funny travel moment" with Suzanne or... share a secret about Suzanne.  Ha!!!  Bet she didn't see this coming!!! LOL

Here is what I created today....

If you've ever been to Suzanne's On the Road class, or read her blog, or seen her in the airport, you know she loves to dance.  I'm thinking hands in the air and hips swingin'.  I imagine you could catch her shaking her groove thing at the country concerts that she goes to as well.   Just look out because you know she'll try to get you to join.

Now hop on over to the rest of the DT's sites to see what they are sharing about Suzanne.  ;-)

Brook Guinn  (that's me)
Hope you enjoy your day, Suzanne, and remember... you're not getting older... you're getting ..... FUNN(I)ER!!! Ha!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!  *HUGE HUGS*
