Well hello strangers! I can't believe it has been so long since I posted, and I should have done this on Monday. Somehow it totally slipped my mind...must be my age getting to me. Anyway, the challenge this time around over at the CMC Copic Challenge is to use blacks and dark grays when you color. Our sponsor, Milk n Coffee, gave us each an image to use for this challenge.
Sorry for the rotten picture. The whole thing looks pink. Anyway, my image is Tiffany as Retro Nightclub Singer and doesn't she look great? I printed this image onto Cryogen White cardstock and colored her with Copics (C9, C7, C5, C3, C1/E11, E00, E000, R20/R85, R83, R81/YG63/W5, W2, W0). Those pretty papers are from TPC Studio and the ribbon is from my stash. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, aren't they pretty? The rhinestones are from my LCS and I used my Copic R85 to color them to match the rest of my card. The pin is handmade (by me) and I added a bit of Stickles to her fur and her jewelry.
Our challenge runs until August 31st and one lucky winner will get a $15 gift certificate to purchase some Milk n Coffee digis. Plus there is a monthly drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com. So grab your black or dark gray Copics and head over here to join in the fun.

License to Drive
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. The card I'm sharing today is for my son who turns 16 today. It's hard to believe how quickly time flies by.
This digi is from Karen's Doodles and was printed onto Cryogen White Cardstock. I colored it with my Copics (bunches of them). The DP is from the Basic Grey Life of the Party pack. I just love the bright colors on these papers. I added some ribbon, a button, and twine that I got from my LCS. The sentiment is Penny Black and the "16" at the bottom is Martha Stewart (Although I lost the "1" just minutes after using it. No telling where it ended up.).
Challenges:
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Creative Inspirations - Anything Goes
Basic Grey - Bright and Bold (DP)
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Well, I'm off to enjoy some birthday cake...chocolate! Thanks for stopping by!

String of Hearts
Well, happy Wednesday to you all! I hope you have survived the first half of the week ok. Just wanted to share a card that I put together fairly quickly the other day.
I just love this cute little Magnolia stamp. She is colored with Copics and the DP is from MME. The lace, rhinestones, and brad are from a LCS. I made the purple flower with some tulle that I got at my LCS as well.
This fabric brad is so pretty with the ladybug in the center of it, don't you think?
Challenges:
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Swirls and Lace
Just Magnolia - Handmade Flowers
The Sweet Stop - Sketch
Magnolia-licious - Photo inspiration
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!

Create a Background
Hello again! I know, 2 days in a row with a post. Woohoo! We've got another challenge up at the CMC Copic Challenge. We want you to create a background. Color any image you want, but be sure to add a background. I was a little nervous about this challenge, but I'm pretty happy with how my card turned out.
I added clouds in the background of my picture. I used my Cuttlebug to cut out one of the round scallops and I used that to make my clouds. I think I should have made the sky a bit darker as it's hard to see the clouds in my picture. Here's another shot too.
Our sponsor, Squigglefly, gave us each an image to use for this challenge. My image is Crosseyed Butterfly. I printed her out onto Cryogen White Cardstock and colored her with my Copics (Y08, Y02, Y00/E25, E31, E50/R24, R22, R00/E11, E00, E000, R20/YG67, YG03/C1, C00/V12). My papers are from Echo Park and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I punched out the butterflies and leaves with my MS punches, and I used my Marvy punch for the tag. See how it pulls out? Cute, huh?
The sentiment on the tag is from the Paper Studio. The ribbon, twine, and button are all from my stash. Of course I added Stickles the the butterflies as well. Gotta have some sparkle.
Anyone can play along and you have until August 17th to enter, so there is plenty of time to play. Be sure to use your Copics, ProMarkers, other alcohol markers, or colored pencils as well. One person will win 3 Squigglefly digis and all entries go into a monthly drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Oozak.com. So join the fun and show us what background you can create!
There is also a new class coming to the Color Me Creative Classroom. Suzanne Dean is going to show us "All About Hair". The class is coming at the end of August and Suzanne is offering a pre-registration discount for those who sign up early. You can read all about what the class will offer by going here.
Also, Suzanne will be heading on the road to teach in Stafford Spings, CT (not far from Boston area or NYC area). She will be teaching the All About Hair class while there. Check out the CMC Road site for more information.
Challenges:
PaperPlay - Layer it Up!
Do You Stack Up - Polka Dots
the sweetest thing - Sketch
The Ribbon Girl - Bingo (Image, Buttons, Twine)
MarkerPop - Bright Colors
The Pink Elephant - Ribbon
Have a great week!

Christmas in August?
Ok, so I missed Christmas in July, but just by a few days. Today I'm sharing a card that features one of my favorite Christmas stamps.
Of course this is James Bear from Lili of the Valley. I just love this little fellow. I've got a couple other stamps with him as well, so you'll be seeing those over the next few months as well.
I stamped him onto Cryogen white cardstock and colored him with my Copics. I sponged the edges with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink and then added some glitter to his hat and the ground. My papers are MME, the ribbon was purchased on Etsy, and the brad and rhinestones are from my stash. The sentiment is from Recollections.
Challenges:
Stamp and Create - Hands full of Love
Papertake Weekly - Sketch
Scrap-Creations - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Focus on the Ribbon
Creatalicious - Christmas
